Geneva Challenge 2019, The Advancing Development International Competition for Graduate Students

Application for Geneva Challenge 2019 is now opened for students, the advancing development goals contest, an international competition for graduate students.

The 2019 Advancing Development Goals Contest invites teams of International Master students from all academic programmes to devise innovative and pragmatic solutions to the Challenges of Global Health. Students can now apply for Geneva Challenge 2019. 

The Geneva Challenge idea is to gather contributions that are both theoretically grounded and offer pragmatic solutions to a relevant international development problem stemming from an interdisciplinary collaboration between 3 to 5 enrolled master students from anywhere in the world.

Five prizes will be distributed; one in each of the following categories (based on the UN Statistics list):
  1. Universities located in Africa
  2. Universities located in Asia
  3. Universities located in Europe
  4. Universities located in North America and Oceania
  5. Universities located in South America

The Geneva Challenge 2019 application deadline is March  24, 2019

Course Level
Scholarships Program are offered to international students, and are available for an oral presentation in Geneva, where they will defend their ideas and answer questions from the jury and from the public. The finalists will also be present at an awards ceremony where the results of the contest will be announced preceded by a high-level keynote speech on the challenges of global health.

Scholarship Award

Scholarships award for students is worth
  • Traveling and accommodation expenses covered
  • The ADG contest distributes CHF 25’000 in monetary prizes. The winning project will be awarded CHF 10’000; the two teams in second place will receive CHF 5’000 each and the two teams in third place, CHF 2’500 each.


Nationality

Applicant must be an international master students  to be ready for competition at Switzerland.

Study Location

The Geneva Challenge are offered to student to competition in Switzerland.

  • Candidates need be a team between 3 to 5 enrolled master students from a particular continent (anywhere in the world).
