The Association of Commonwealth Universities invites application for the ACU Gender Grants 2020. Each year ACU Gender grants are offered to university staff to support the initiatives that will boost gender equity and equality on the campus.

Calling all staff from ACU member universities from across the Commonwealth! If you’re working to advance gender equality at your institution, Applications are now open for the ACU Gender Grants.

Consider submitting an application for the ACU Gender Grants if your projects, workshop, events support the gender equity, women in leadership, creating awareness of sexual harassment inclusing developeing anti-sexual harassment.

About Association of Commonwealth Universities Gender Grants

The ACU Gender Grants support women who are members universities for their wide range of projects in gender equity, equality at Association of Commonwealth member universities.

Since the ACU Gender Grants were launched in 2016, The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Gender Grants are offered to staff at ACU member universities to help meet the cost of organizing projects that promote gender equality and equity.

Values/Benefits

The grants are offered to support the wide range of projects, workshops and events and will be offered as

Up to GBP 1000 for staff at ACU member universities to support meet the cost of conducting projects that will promote the gender equity and equality.

Grantees are required to submit a short interim report halfway through their project and a comprehensive final report within one month after completing their project.

What Projects Will ACU Gender Grants Support?

A lot of grants have been awarded, ACU Gender Grants are awarded to support initiatives that will boost gender equity and equality in institution.

The grants can be used for a diverse range of projects, workshops, and events in areas such as:

  • Supporting women in leadership
  • Raising awareness of sexual harassment and developing anti-sexual harassment initiatives
  • Supporting women in science and research
  • Creating effective institutional policies
  • Mainstreaming gender equity into the curriculum

How To Apply For Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Gender Grants

Note: Application closes at 11.59 pm BST on 20 September 2020.

Do you have a project that require some fund, does your initiatives support and boost gender equity and equality.

Then, you will need to supply an outline of the project and an action plan, including details of what it involves and how it will address gender equity and equality at your university.

The project action plan is requested for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.
