The Africa Scholarship Programme (ASP) 2021/2022 has been initiated by Wageningen University & Research to give talented and motivated students from Africa the opportunity to study at the university in Wageningen.

The Africa Scholarship MSc Programme at Wageningen University and Research seek to provide international Africa student who are talented and have excellent education background with a 2 years masters programme at Wageningen.

About The Scholarship Programme

The Africa Scholarship Programme is a masters scholarship based on invitation. It’s not possible to apply directly for this scholarship.

With this programme, Wageningen University and Research wants to support capacity building in Africa by attracting excellent students for a 2-years master’s programme.

Awards/Values

The scholarship seeks to support students with

  • Travel to and from Wageningen
  • Living allowance for 2 years
  • Tuition fee
  • Visa costs and costs for health insurance
  • Budget to visit one seminar/conference in Europe
  • Participation in the ‘Reach your full potential’ programme

Location: Netherlands

Degree Level of Programme: Postgraduate (Masters)

Duration: 2 Years

Requirements And Eligibility

The following requirements holds for the scholarships, if you do meet the requirement of excellent, top 5% student, you will be eligible for the Africa Scholarship programme if
Requirements:

1. You are a citizen of an African country

2. You are an excellent student with a First class honours degree or a GPA of 80% or higher in a Bachelor degree

3. You have applied for one the master’s programmes of Wageningen University & Research before February 1st, 2021. For the MSc

4. Provide the needed supporting documents during MSc admission application process which may help prove that you belong to the top students in your year.

5. Possesses 80 percent GPA or higher as a standard Wageningen uphold.

6. Holds a First Class honours BSc graduation or equivalent which may help to prove that you belong to the top 5% of your year.

Documentation Required

The following documentation are required. Considering the number of candidates, only a part of these excellent students will be invited to take part in the scholarship selection procedure(s).

  1. BSc degree certification and academic transcripts
  2. Reference Letters and achievement awars
  3. Statement of Purpose
  4. A CV/Resume

All African students who have been unconditionally admitted to an MSc programme at Wageningen University will be assessed with regard to the Africa Scholarship Programme in the first half of March 2021.
