Application are invited to the 2020 Thompson Reuters Foundation Bigger Photo Competition on COVID-19. Could your picture tell a thousand words? Then the camera is in your hands. Our photo competition is open to anyone with a passion for turning the lens on the real lives behind the headlines, and an ability to capture the most powerful images of the pandemic’s impact on everyday people.
Application Deadline
The application for the Thompson Reuters Foundation Covid-19 Bigger Picture and Photo Competion ends on October 28, 2020.
Value/Benefits
All successful recipients (winners) of award will receive an award certificate.
Recipeint of the award will have access to an online photojournalism masterclass run by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
All winners of award will also each be offered the opportunity to work alongside the Thomson Reuters Foundation’s news team on a story that will be shared via the Foundation’s global distribution network.
Awardees will receive tailored workshop and mentoring skills to build on thier existing story telling creativity.
Eligibility Criteria And Requirement
All individuals who are interested in submitting an application to the Thompson Reuters Foundation Big Picture and Photo Competition will have to be
Any individual who have the ability to capture the most powerful images of the pandemic’s impact on everyday people.
Have interest in photography and don’t have to be a photographer or journalist.
Any individual who is a visual storytellers with ability to capture the untold consequences of COVID-19 on people’s lives and livelihoods.
Be available to attend the online photojournalism masterclass.
Documentation Required
You will need to provide the following documentation to apply for the Photo competition on COVID-19
Upload a profile photo
Provide links to your social media acount for more description about your kind of person.
Upload your photo submission to the competition (entries must be under 25MB and in any of the following formats JPG, PNG, PDF).

To submit your entry, please fill and complete the entry form given and upload all necessary photos where applicable.
