About MTN Foundation/Muson Music Scholarship

The MTN/MUSON Music Scholars Programme is a music scholarship offered by MTN Foundation in partnership with the MUSON School of Music and is aimed at creating opportunities for musically talented people from a less privileged background, to acquire quality music education leading to the award of an internationally recognized Diploma in Music.

The Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) School of Music is properly equipped and have expert professionals who are staff ready to train aspiring musicians as the school meet the world and international standards in music education.

Can I Apply for the MTN Foundation/Muson Music Scholarship

Are you motivated and seek to pursue a career in music, The MTN Foundation Scholarships is offered in partnership with Muson to provide musician admission into the Music school where you will be awarded a diploma in music certificate.

If you got love for music and need to attend a music school, The Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) in conjunction with the MTN Foundation (MTNF) announces entrance examinations for the Fifteenth (15th) set of the MTNF/MUSON Diploma course in music for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.

MTN Foundation/Muson Music Scholarship Requirements

Interested in applying for the MTN/Muson Diploma Music Scholarship for a diploma course in music.

Applicants for the MTN/Muson Music Scholar program are required to meet the eligibility criteria below.

  • Applicants are to possess a General Certificate of Education (GCE) ordinary level with credit in at least five (5) subjects including English language or
  • Have at least five (5) credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), all must be obtained in at leat two (2) sitting before the music diploma course admission.
  • Have a practical grade five (5) or higher pass certificate of the MUSON School of Music or any other recognized music examining body (ABRSM or Trinity are acknowledged)
  • Have a theory grade five (5) or higher pass certificate of the MUSON School of Music or any other recognized music examining body
  • 100 words state of purpose why you want be a student at MTN Foundation / MUSON Diploma School.
  • Provide a referee, phone and address of your selected referee.
  • Submit a passport photograph.

How To Apply For MTN/MUSON Music Scholarships

On meeting the requirements for the music diploma scholarship

Applicants are to fill the online application form (form link is given below)

Send Scanned Written application letter with copies of your certificate to the Director of Music school email at school@muson.org

Note: The email address used should be your email address as the name and photo associated with the google account will be used and recorded as your admission profile photo when you submit the form and send your files.
