 Deakin’s prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded each year to 26 eligible undergraduate students whose exceptional academic achievements and extra-curricular activities truly set them apart.

Deakin has a flexible approach for the payment of your scholarship benefits. The average value of the scholarship is $35,000 to $80,000 depending on your course duration.

Scholarship Description

Scholarship Course Level
The Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship are available for  available for Bachelor programs.

Scholarship Field of Study
This  Scholarships  are provided to students for study in the field offered by school.

Scholarship Award/Value
  • scholarship value  are 100% of your student contribution (tuition fees)

  • A cash payment of $5000 per year

  • Participation in the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program – an exclusive opportunity for professional and personal growth that runs for the duration of the scholarship.

  • The scholarship is awarded for the normal full-time duration of the course.


Nationality Scholarship Targeted
Scholarship are offered to  Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.

Scholarship Location
The  Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship is provided for study in Australia.

Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship application  deadline is January 8, 2019

Scholarship Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the requirements below;  

  • Candidates  need to be an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • Candidates need to begin an undergraduate bachelor degree at Deakin University in the 2019 academic year
  • Candidates are to be enrolled in full-time study
  • Candidates need be enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place.
  • Candidate  required to demonstrate academic achievement in 
  • an ATAR of at least 95 or International Baccalaureate equivalent
  • dux of your high school.
  • Preference is given to candidates involving and participating in extra-curricular activities, leadership, community service, the arts, volunteering, or sport and achievements, for example in the areas of 
  • Candidates experiencing personal or financial hardship.
