3 Mins Read

The Peter Drucker Challenge Essay Contest 2020, if you are interested in essay contest application is open to students and young professionals.

Annually the Drucker Society Europe holds the Peter Drucker Challenge Essay Contest for students and young professional.
Your essay should offer a point of view on whether the emerging generation of leaders is being sufficiently prepared to exercise the critical thinking required of them.
What conditions of the twenty-first century are making this more difficult—or in what ways is critical thinking better supported than in the past?

Why Peter Druckers Challenge Essay Contest

The Challenge explores a current topic in management – typically related to the theme of the Forum – in the context of Peter Drucker’s human-oriented management philosophy. The Peter Drucker Challenge is a personal essay contest, although narratives are often related to the topic in an analytical way and claims are supported by evidence.

Each year, the Drucker Society Europe with the aim of contributing to the evolution of management as a vital piece of a functioning modern society hosts the Global Peter Drucker Challenge and forum, a crystallizing event where decision makers convene to discuss the future of management in a pragmatic and solution-oriented manner.

Showcasing your own powers of independent thought, your essay might address matters such as the following:

How can one discern truth in the jungle of rumor, media, social media posts, websites, analytics, statistics, influencers, etc.?
How do you develop, expand, retain critical thinking skills in yourself?
What actions would you recommend to cultivate more critical thinking—whether at the level of the individual, the team, across society or cultures?
How can we benefit from cultural differences in thinking styles-for example, between East and West?
What lessons have you learned from observing leaders who have exercised good (or bad!) judgment?
