The Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarships are worth £5000 payable as a reduction in first year international tuition fees.
Scholarships will offered on a rolling basis until 30 June 2019 at the discretion of the University. As there are a limited number of scholarships available we encourage early submission of your postgraduate application.
There is no separate application form; all applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered for a scholarship award until the total number of available awards are allocated.

Global Excellence Scholarship are available to pursue master’s degree programme.
Field of Study
Scholarships are awarded to study the following programmes:
- MSc Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture
- MSc Sustainable Development
- MSc Conservation and Biodiversity
- MSc Social and Organisational Psychology
- MSc Sport and Health Sciences

Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Global Excellence Scholarship;
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates need be an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit).
- This award will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants for full time study, applying for the first time for 2019 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants applying for deferred entry are not eligible).
- Candidates should possess Academic merit, as determined by information provided in the application form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars.
- Candidates must have the achievement of a bachelor’s degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second class award.

The Global Excellence Scholarships

- This award will be automatically allocated to outstanding applicants for full time study, applying for the first time for 2019 entry (deferred offer holders or applicants applying for deferred entry are not eligible).
- A separate application is not required. Academic merit, as determined by information provided in the application form, is the sole determinant in identifying potential scholars. Typically this will be the achievement of a bachelor’s degree equivalent to at least a UK upper second class award.
- If you are offered a Postgraduate Global Excellence Scholarship you will receive an e-mail notification following receipt of your University offer. If you are successful, to accept the award you must make the University of Exeter’s offer your first choice by returning your deposit by the deadline identified in your offer letter.
- Awardees will be required to satisfy any conditions stipulated in their offer letter no later than 31 August 2019.
