Apply Now! The 2020 Future For Nature Awards application is now open to young talented and nature Conservationists. The nature conservationist award is a prestigious international award that celebrates and recognizes effective commitments in protecting wild animal and plant species.

The Future For Nature (FFN) Awards for young, talented, and energetic nature conservationists committed to protecting species of wild animals and plants each year offers the international award.  Now the application are invited for those interested in the Future for Nature awards if you are a young energic, talented nature conservationist of age 35 years dedicated in the preservation of wildlife and plants in your region and country.

The application for the Future For Nature Awards 2020 closes September 15.

Future For Nature Objectives

The Future For Nature awards aims to:

  • Reward and fund individuals for their outstanding efforts in the protection of species of wild animals and plants
  • Stimulate Award winners to sustain their dedicated work
  • Help winners to raise their profile, extend their professional network and strengthen their funding basis

Awards Values/Worths

  • The FFN Award offer the winners international recognition, financial support, and reinforced linkages to an international conservation network.
  • In addition to the FFN Award amount of €50,000 (Rs. 42,76,823.99 approx.), all recipients receive a small Future For Nature sculpture.
  • Winners will present their work at the Future For Nature Award event at Royal Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem, Netherlands. The event will take place in May 2021.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Future For Nature Foundation.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met to be eligible to apply and will be used in the selection procedure for the Future For Nature Award winners.

  • The candidate:
    Must be born on or after the 31st May 1985 and before the 31st of May 2002.
  • Has achieved substantial and long-term benefit to the conservation status of one or more animal or plant species.
  • Has demonstrated commitment, determination and passion for conservation work.
  • Has demonstrated leadership, entrepreneurship and a clear view on conservation work.
  • Has been creative and innovative in his/her work.
  • Has demonstrated to be honourable in the conservation work performed.
  • Must be determined to continue his/her conservation work, as the Award aims to stimulate the winner’s future work. It is not an “end of career” prize.
  • Is able to explain his/her conservation work in proficient English (written and spoken).
